PGA of Canada Head Professional

Gord joined Carleton as head professional in 2007.

He has been a PGA of Canada Class A member since 1999 and has received numerous awards from the PGA of Canada’s Ottawa Zone, including consecutive Teacher of the Year titles (2004 and 2005), Assistant of the Year (2005), and Professional of the Year (2013).

He has twice served on the Ottawa Zone PGA of Canada Board of Directors. In 2015, he was appointed to the PGA of Canada national board of directors.

Gord’s on-course accomplishments include a seventh place (2017) and thirteenth place (2016) finish at the PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada. In 2002, he won the Ping Classic Championship (Phoenix), and finished as runner-up in the 2003 Cisco Systems Tour. He has set records at five different courses in eastern Ontario and is a four-time member of the Ontario University Athletic Association all-star golf team.

Whether he is helping members hone their swing, advising members on the best clubs suited to their game, or consulting on the management of leagues and events, Gord has become an integral part of the Carleton family.
